6 students electrocuted near school gate, two died
A battery near a school gate in Long An exploded, killing two students and leaving four others in need of emergency treatment.

On the afternoon of October 13, a battery near An Luc Long Secondary School (Chau Thanh, Long An) suddenly exploded, causing a medium voltage wire to fall. Six students passing by were hit by the falling wire and were electrocuted.
Dinh Tien Bao and Nguyen Thi Ngoc Lan (11 years old, 6th grade) were taken to the emergency room immediately but died. The remaining victims, 7th graders, are now out of danger.
Chau Thanh district police are investigating the incident.
