6 students electrocuted near school gate, two died
A battery near the school gate in Long An exploded, killing two students and leaving four others in need of emergency care.

On the afternoon of October 13, a battery near An Luc Long Secondary School (Chau Thanh, Long An) suddenly exploded, causing a medium-voltage power line to break. Six students passing by were hit by the falling power line and were electrocuted.
Dinh Tien Bao and Nguyen Thi Ngoc Lan (11 years old, grade 6) were taken to the emergency room immediately but died. The remaining victims, grade 7 students, are now out of critical condition.
Chau Thanh district police are investigating the incident.
