Three students in Dien Chau district were electrocuted while trying to retrieve a kite that was caught on a 110kV high voltage power line. The incident left two of them with severe burns and they had to be taken to the hospital for emergency treatment.

According to information, at around 1:00 p.m. on June 12, a group of students were flying kites in the shrimp farming area of ​​the commune. When a kite got caught in a 110kV high-voltage power line, three students, including TBD (13 years old), THD. (15 years old) and NTA (13 years old), all residing in Dien Van commune, Dien Chau district, tried to retrieve it but were electrocuted and fell to the ground.

Upon discovering the incident, local people took the children to the Commune Health Station for first aid. Two children with severe burns were transferred to the provincial hospital, while the remaining child suffered minor injuries.
