Australia: Three people injured in kangaroo attack.
Three people were injured in an attack by a large kangaroo in Queensland, in northeastern Australia, the Sydney Morning Herald reported.

Doctors arrived at the scene on the evening of October 13th. According to one of the victims, Linda Smith, 64, who cares for the kangaroos living in their natural habitat, the attack occurred when her husband tried to feed the animals. She tried to help her husband, but ended up being injured herself. Her son, who came to her rescue, was also affected.
"Ambulance workers were shocked when they arrived at the scene by the severity of the injuries they had to deal with," said Stephen Jones, a representative of Queensland Ambulance Services.
The Sydney Morning Herald reported that as a result of the attack, the woman suffered chest injuries, several broken ribs, and lacerations on her arms and legs. She is expected to undergo surgery. Her husband was hospitalized with multiple open wounds. Her son received immediate medical attention.
