(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of December 27th, during the visit and working trip to Nghe An by the delegation from Ben Tre province, Comrade Nguyen Dac Vinh - Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, and Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Nghe An province - led the delegation to visit and inspect several key projects in Nghe An province.

Accompanying him was Comrade Phan Van Mai, Member of the Central Committee of the Party and Standing Deputy Secretary of the Ben Tre Provincial Party Committee.

During a visit to the VSIP Industrial, Urban and Service Zone, Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Dac Vinh stated that this is one of Nghe An's key projects, which commenced in September 2015.

To date, 20 companies have committed to investing in the VSIP Nghe An Industrial Park with a total projected investment of over US$100 million on a total land area of ​​over 80 hectares.

Twelve companies have been granted investment certificates, six have commenced operations, and two more are expected to start operating by the end of 2018, creating more than 2,000 jobs.

Next, the delegation visited and inspected Vissai International Port in Nghi Thiet commune (Nghi Loc district) and Cua Lo General Port. The Vissai deep-water port is a facility serving the operations of Song Lam Cement Joint Stock Company, part of The Vissai Cement Group.

Built at a sea depth of 14.5m, the Vissai No. 1 international port is 2,000m long and can accommodate ships of up to 70,000 tons for loading and unloading.

Currently, the port primarily serves the transportation of clinker and cement from Song Lam Cement Joint Stock Company by sea for export to domestic and international markets.

Upon completion of phase 2, the Vissai port complex is expected to have two general cargo ports, becoming a multi-purpose international seaport serving vessels over 100,000 tons. According to the plan, by 2019, 3 out of 7 berths of the inland port, capable of accommodating 20,000-ton vessels, will be operational.

Also on the afternoon of the same day, the delegation visited and inspected the progress of the construction of the 72m Vinh – Cua Lo road and the regulating lake project located in Hung Loc commune - east of Vinh city.
