Giving free porridge to the poor and warm blankets to disadvantaged students
(Baonghean.vn) - The charity association of Phuc My pagoda, Yen Son commune, has distributed hundreds of free porridge portions to patients. and Chi Linh pagoda in coordination with Yen Thanh district police organized the program "Warm winter blankets" to give gifts to students of Khanh Thanh commune kindergarten.

Having carefully prepared the ingredients the day before, on the morning of December 28, before dawn, the Buddhists of Phuc My Pagoda had finished cooking 4 large pots of porridge at the pagoda and were ready for the charity trip to distribute porridge at Do Luong District General Hospital.
Despite the cold and rainy weather, many elderly Buddhists still joined the program, cooking and distributing porridge. Learning from previous porridge distribution campaigns, so that patients did not have to bring their own bowls, porridge was scooped into plastic cups and distributed to everyone.

At the hospital, the Phuc My Pagoda charity group distributed 250 portions of porridge that were guaranteed quality and hygiene to the patients being treated there. The pagoda’s free porridge truly warmed the hearts of the sick people in the cold, rainy winter days.
It is known that in recent years, along with the process of renovating the worshiping facilities, restoring the practice and activities of Buddhists, Phuc My Pagoda, Yen Son Commune, Do Luong District has organized many charity programs to give gifts to people and students in remote areas, and give free porridge to patients to share difficulties with the poor.

On this occasion, the delegation presented 100 warm blankets to students in the school and 10 cash gifts to students in especially difficult circumstances, each worth 300,000 VND.
