Establish a Standing Committee

The VFF Executive Committee has agreed to establish a Standing Committee consisting of the President, Vice Presidents and the 5th person, Mr. Tran Anh Tu - General Director of Vietnam Professional Football Joint Stock Company VPF. It is known that in the 7th term, Mr. Tran Anh Tu is also a standing member of the VFF.

At the same time, a very new detail is that the VFF Standing Committee will invite Mr. Nguyen Quoc Hoi to attend meetings of the Standing Committee as an observer, meaning he can participate in discussing issues but has no voting rights.

“100% of the Executive Committee members unanimously elected Mr. Tran Anh Tu - Chairman of VPF Company, Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City Football Federation as the 5th member of the VFF Standing Committee, term VIII. Along with that, VFF invited Mr. Nguyen Quoc Hoi - Chairman of Hanoi Club, as the club representative to attend meetings of the VFF Standing Committee, with the right to participate in discussions and feedback at the meeting. However, the final decision will belong to the 5 Standing members”, said VFF General Secretary Le Hoai Anh.

At the same time, President Le Khanh Hai has officially assigned quite clear tasks to his deputies. Vice President Tran Quoc Tuan, on behalf of the President, supervises the work of VFF and is also in charge of professional matters and implementing strategies for developing Vietnamese football during this term.

Vice President Can Van Nghia is in charge of finance and fundraising as well as using and exploiting financial resources. Vice President Cao Van Chong is assigned to be in charge of communications and media platforms under VFF.

General Secretary Le Hoai Anh will be responsible for managing daily operations at VFF and handling tasks related to VFF's foreign affairs with other football federations around the world.

VFF will have 10 professional committees with the heads of committees including: Mr. Tran Anh Tu (Futsal Committee), Mr. Can Van Nghia (Women's Football Committee), Mr. Tran Quoc Tuan (Sports Medicine Committee and Strategy Committee), Mr. Duong Van Hien (Referee Committee), Mr. Le Van Thanh (Finance and Sponsorship Committee), Mr. Chu Hong Thanh (Complaints Resolution Committee), Mr. Vu Xuan Thanh (Disciplinary Committee), Mr. Le Dang Tung (Professional Football and Club Licensing Committee), Mr. Pham Ngoc Tuan (Committee in charge of grassroots football).

To improve and enhance the management of the football field, the deputy head of the referee board, Mr. Vo Minh Tri, is also a member of the Executive Committee. Mr. Tri, 46 years old, is a professional referee of Vietnamese football, has won many Golden Whistle awards in the country and is the Vietnamese referee invited to work most in international tournaments. Retiring in 2017, Mr. Tri continues to be attached to the profession by participating in referee supervision and teaching referee training courses in the country.

Notably, the VFF Standing Committee unanimously appointed Mr. Vu Xuan Thanh – former Chief Inspector of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, as Head of the Disciplinary Committee, replacing Mr. Nguyen Hai Huong – Head of the Disciplinary Committee of the 7th term. This is also a rather sensitive position, with controversial decisions often made during the last term.
