Establish a Standing Committee
The VFF Executive Committee has unanimously agreed to establish a Standing Committee consisting of the President, Vice Presidents, and a fifth member, Mr. Tran Anh Tu - General Director of the Vietnam Professional Football Joint Stock Company (VPF). It is known that during the 7th term, Mr. Tran Anh Tu was also a Standing Committee member of the VFF.
At the same time, a very new detail is that the VFF Standing Committee will invite Mr. Nguyen Quoc Hoi to attend the Standing Committee's meetings as an observer, meaning he can participate in discussions but does not have the right to vote.
“100% of the Executive Committee members unanimously elected Mr. Tran Anh Tu – Chairman of VPF Company, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Football Federation – as the 5th member of the VFF Standing Committee for the 8th term. In addition, the VFF invited Mr. Nguyen Quoc Hoi – Chairman of Hanoi FC, to represent the club at VFF Standing Committee meetings, with the right to participate in discussions and provide feedback. However, the final decision will rest with the 5 Standing Committee members,” said VFF General Secretary Le Hoai Anh.
At the same time, Chairman Le Khanh Hai officially assigned quite clear responsibilities to his deputies. Vice Chairman Tran Quoc Tuan, on behalf of the Chairman, will oversee the work of the VFF and will also be in charge of professional matters and implementing strategies for the development of Vietnamese football during this term.
Vice President Can Van Nghia is in charge of finance and fundraising, as well as the utilization and exploitation of financial resources. Vice President Cao Van Chong is assigned to oversee communications and media platforms under the VFF.
General Secretary Le Hoai Anh will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the VFF and handling matters related to the VFF's foreign relations with other football federations worldwide.

The Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) will have 10 specialized committees with the following heads: Mr. Tran Anh Tu (Futsal Committee), Mr. Can Van Nghia (Women's Football Committee), Mr. Tran Quoc Tuan (Sports Medicine and Strategy Committee), Mr. Duong Van Hien (Referee Committee), Mr. Le Van Thanh (Finance and Sponsorship Committee), Mr. Chu Hong Thanh (Complaints Resolution Committee), Mr. Vu Xuan Thanh (Disciplinary Committee), Mr. Le Dang Tung (Professional Football and Club Licensing Committee), and Mr. Pham Ngoc Tuan (Amateur Football Committee).
To improve and enhance the performance of referees, the Deputy Head of the Refereeing Committee, Mr. Vo Minh Tri, is also a member of the Executive Committee. Mr. Tri, 46 years old, is a professional referee in Vietnamese football, having won numerous Golden Whistle awards domestically and is the Vietnamese referee most frequently invited to officiate in international tournaments. After retiring in 2017, Mr. Tri continues his involvement in the profession by participating in referee supervision and teaching referee training courses in Vietnam.
Notably, the VFF Standing Committee unanimously appointed Mr. Vu Xuan Thanh – former Chief Inspector of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism – as the new Head of the Disciplinary Committee, replacing Mr. Nguyen Hai Huong, the former Head of the Disciplinary Committee in the 7th term. This is a rather sensitive position, frequently involved in controversial decisions during the past term.
