Arresting drug addict for re-conviction for drug possession
(Baonghean.vn) - Vi Van Duc was arrested at 4:00 a.m. on February 13 for "Illegal possession of drugs" while driving a motorbike on National Highway 16 (Pieng Luong - Tri Le area) home.
Accordingly, at around 4:00 a.m. on February 13, while returning home on National Highway 16, Vi Van Duc (born in 1962), residing in Na Can village, Tri Le commune, Que Phong district, was suddenly inspected by the working group of Tri Le Border Guard Station and Tri Le Commune Police (Que Phong) because of suspicious signs.

During the search, the border guards and Tri Le Commune Police seized two small plastic bags containing 0.5g of heroin and 0.3g of synthetic drugs.
It is known that Vi Van Duc has been a drug addict for a long time, with 2 previous convictions for “Illegal drug trafficking”. The first sentence from 2004 was 7 years, after being released from prison he reoffended and received a sentence of 3 years and 6 months. The subject was also forced to go to a drug rehabilitation center but upon returning he relapsed.
Currently, the subject Vi Van Duc has been handed over to Que Phong District Police for further investigation and handling.
