Drug addict arrested for repeated offense of possessing narcotics.
(Baonghean.vn) - Vi Van Duc was arrested at 4:00 AM on February 13th for the crime of "illegally possessing narcotics" while driving a motorbike on National Highway 16 (in the Pieng Luong village area - Tri Le) on his way home.
Accordingly, at approximately 4:00 AM on February 13th, while traveling on National Highway 16 on his way home, Vi Van Duc (born in 1962), residing in Na Can village, Tri Le commune, Que Phong district, was subjected to a surprise inspection by a task force from the Tri Le Border Guard Post and the Tri Le Commune Police (Que Phong) due to suspicious behavior.

During the search, border guards and the Tri Le commune police seized two small plastic bags containing 0.5g of heroin and 0.3g of synthetic drugs.
It is known that Vi Van Duc is a long-time drug addict with two previous convictions for "illegally trading narcotics." His first sentence was 7 years, from 2004, and after his release, he re-offended and received a 3-year and 6-month sentence. He was also required to enter a rehabilitation center but relapsed upon his return.
Currently, Vi Văn Đức has been handed over to the Quế Phong District Police for further investigation and processing.
