The National Assembly Standing Committee supervises in Quy Hop district.
(Baonghean.vn) - On February 18, the National Assembly Standing Committee's Supervisory Delegation worked with the People's Committee of Quy Hop district on the implementation of the National Target Program on Sustainable Poverty Reduction in Ethnic Minority and Mountainous Areas for the 2012-2018 period.
The delegation was led by Comrade Nguyen Thuy Anh - Member of the National Assembly Standing Committee, Chairwoman of the National Assembly's Committee on Social Affairs.

Quy Hop district has 3 ethnic groups, of which more than 53% are ethnic minorities. In recent years, through support from the Government's Program 135, the district has actively integrated programs and policies to achieve the goal of reducing the poverty rate by about 2-4% each year.
In the period 2012-2018, the whole district mobilized more than 366 billion VND of resources to implement the National target program on sustainable poverty reduction in ethnic minority and mountainous areas. 100% of communes have asphalted or concreted roads to the commune center according to technical standards; 5 communes meet new rural standards. The poverty rate of the whole district is nearly 14%.
Representatives of the People's Committee of Quy Hop district proposed to the delegation a number of contents such as: increasing time, supporting investment resources through the National Target Program on New Rural Construction for the period 2020-2025; gradually reducing direct support to limit the mentality of waiting and relying on the State's poverty reduction policy, helping people proactively find ways to escape poverty...

At the working session, Comrade Nguyen Thuy Anh - Member of the National Assembly Standing Committee, Chairwoman of the National Assembly's Committee on Social Affairs commended the achievements of the Party Committee, government and people of Quy Hop mountainous district in sustainable poverty reduction in the 2012-2018 period.
At the same time, it is recommended that the district Party Committee and government need to direct poverty reduction policies more consistently and decisively; focus on production development, promote labor export, effectively coordinate and integrate programs and projects, avoid overlap and mobilize all resources among the people to achieve the goal of sustainable poverty reduction.
The district needs to have a plan to support the poor and near-poor in terms of land, seeds, and techniques, especially in the field of agricultural and forestry processing; regularly evaluate the effectiveness of the poverty reduction program to propose adjustments to suit the reality. Based on the content of this supervision, the delegation will propose the district's recommendations to the National Assembly.
