If you have to choose, choose happiness.
(Baonghean.vn) - Every choice has its price. This is absolutely true. However, once that choice makes you happy, then right or wrong no longer matters.
In the first lesson of the Content Creation class, as a small challenge to see how creative the students were, the teacher gave us the following assignment:
You love the A-style game (According to the Chinese community in Vietnam, "chế" means older sister, a term that is currently very commonly used on social media., extreme poverty.
Che loves you too.
Che B is a wealthy man, and he truly loves you.
You are forced to get married.
Who did you "go up" with?
Along with that comes the requirement: OPTIMAL AND… INNOVATIVE SOLUTIONS!
After five minutes of deliberation, the students below began to give their answers:
1. Wedding ceremony A
2. Wedding Ceremony B
3. He married girl B, then divorced her, and took the money to marry girl A.
If you were me, who would you marry?
You may not need to answer this question. Actually, the purpose of me giving this example isn't to find out your answer, but to tell you that: Life always presents many choices. And those aren't even the three final answers. There's one more answer I think could apply in this situation: don't "get together" with anyone at all!
Why not?
You could absolutely marry person A because you love them; marry person B because they have more money; marry person B, then divorce them and take the money to marry person A; or even not marry anyone at all. I just want to ask you, and this time I really want to hear your answer: Would marrying person A, marrying person B, or even choosing to marry person B, then divorcing them and taking the money to marry person A, make you happy?

I don't know if you've seen the movie. And I will come., a South Korean film, is a remake of the filmBe with youof Japan, based on the novelI will come with the rain.Is it by writer Takuji Ichikawa? Even now, when I think about the film, my heart still aches with the pure and warm emotions it evoked.
When the first summer rain fell, by some miracle, Soo-ah returned to her husband and beloved son. While Woo-jin was astonished, little Ji-ho was overjoyed. This was because he still believed in miracles in life, believed in his mother's promise from long ago, that "Mom will return from the Cloud Region after the first summer rain."
With what's happening in the film, it seems the audience is no longer concerned or questioning whether Soo-ah's return makes sense. The audience's minds, including mine, are completely focused on the tender moments unfolding before them. When Soo-ah returns, she has almost completely lost her memory of her past life, even forgetting her two loved ones, Woo-jin and Ji-ho. Woo-jin and his son accompany her home. While Ji-ho enjoys the moments with his mother comfortably and naturally, Woo-jin struggles more, trying to help her "fall in love again."
Back home, Soo-ah teaches her young son how to cook, do laundry, take care of personal hygiene, clean the house… And then there are the moments when Woo-jin carries the two of them on his shoulders, or the moments when the three of them sit together in front of the TV, eating dinner… All those images bring tears to the viewers' eyes. Aren't they precious when they are something that every family is constantly searching for and building?!
What can we say about Soo-ah's choice?
Marrying a wealthy husband and enjoying a life of luxury is a perfectly possible scenario for a girl like Soo-ah. With her family background, Soo-ah could choose to graduate from university in Seoul, seek better opportunities for advancement, and establish herself. But if that were to become a reality, would Soo-ah be happy? Because, in reality, not only in movies but also in life, there are many people who live in luxury but have never known happiness. The saying "the rich also cry" reflects this.
Viewers hadn't seen Soo-ah make that choice since she met Woo-jin. She followed her heart, dropping out of university despite strong opposition from her parents. Soo-ah married Woo-jin and gave birth to their intelligent and affectionate son, Ji-ho. And then followed a series of dreamlike days that viewers witnessed. Therefore, even after traveling eight years into the future and learning she would die at the age of 32, she had no regrets about her choice: "If I hadn't found you, I would have met and married another man. But would I have been happy then? And I made my own choice."

In a recent discussion on the topic of "Writing" held in Ho Chi Minh City, there was a rare gathering of three renowned contemporary writers: Thuan, Nguyen Thuy Hang, and Tran Tien Cao Dang. Of the three speakers, two are married: writer Thuan and writer Tran Tien Cao Dang; while poet and painter Nguyen Thuy Hang has chosen a life of freedom. Therefore, an audience member asked poet Nguyen Thuy Hang: Is this a trade-off for creativity, for the work of writing?
Poet Nguyen Thuy Hang said that choosing a single and free life, as if she were compelled to do so, is part of human nature. And especially after engaging in creative activities, as her thinking matured, she felt that her best work was writing. “Because I can’t possibly juggle too many jobs like ordinary people. It’s not necessarily only after getting married that things change. And it’s not just artists who have this right; even ordinary people have the right to choose that freedom,” Nguyen Thuy Hang added.
Indeed, it's not just those working in creative arts who "have the right" to choose a life of freedom. That's also the "destination" of many ordinary people in society today. Some choose to be single mothers. Others choose to remain single instead of getting married to please their families. Many leave the city to go to the countryside to plant trees and raise chickens...
Every choice has its price. That's absolutely true. However, once that choice makes you happy, right and wrong become irrelevant. Sometimes, what seems right to you may be wrong to someone else; and vice versa. So, if you know that a choice will make you happy, trust your choice!
