Specifically: Electricity, gas, hot water, steam and air conditioning production and distribution increased by 11.35%; manufacturing increased by 10.23%; water supply, waste management and wastewater treatment increased by 7.44%; and the mining industry decreased by 8.38% compared to the same period.

In February, products in the manufacturing and processing industries, as well as electricity, gas, hot water, and steam production and distribution, increased due to consumer demand during the Tet holiday: Packaging reached 3,600 bags, up 63%; animal feed reached 9,249 thousand tons, up 33.41%; cement was estimated at 337 thousand tons, up 32.16%; refined sugar was estimated at 24,400 tons, up 11.11%; processed milk was estimated at 19,734 liters, up 7.33%; commercial electricity was estimated at 220 million kWh, up 4.27%; electricity production was estimated at 162 million kWh, up 12.35%...

Some products experienced a decline due to shorter production times, low consumer demand, and a lack of control over raw material supply, resulting in lower production volumes compared to February 2018: Yarn production was estimated at 936 tons, down 26.36%; refined tin at 14.4 tons, down 35.24%; limestone powder at 40,297 thousand tons, down 11.02%; NPK fertilizer at 2,669 thousand tons, down 5.66%; and various types of sheet metal and steel products at 59,904 thousand tons, down 8.41%...

Overall, for the first two months of 2019,The industrial production index increased by 9.19% compared to the first two months of 2018, including: manufacturing increased by 9.74%; electricity, gas, hot water, steam, and air conditioning production and distribution increased by 8.75%; water supply, waste management and wastewater treatment increased by 6.76%; and mining increased by 0.44%.
