Russia will respond appropriately to US moves to militarize space
The United States is creating the preconditions for the militarization of space with the intention of using it for military purposes, Russia will be forced to respond to the potential threat with proportional and asymmetric measures.

That was the statement of General Valeriy Gerasimov - Commander-in-Chief of the Army, Deputy Minister of Defense of Russia at the symposium on military strategy development.
He noted that Washington is currently continuing to expand its direct military presence on Russia's borders, destroying the system of agreed relations on arms limitation and reduction, leading to a violation of strategic stability.
"Recently, the Pentagon has repeatedly announced its intention to use outer space for military purposes. To do this, it is promoting the creation of a new army, the space force, which will create prerequisites for the militarization of space," Gerasimov emphasized.
In his words, ultimately, "all these actions can lead to an increase in the outbreak of political-military tensions, military threats to which Russia will have to respond with corresponding and asymmetric measures."
