Vinh City held its first meeting with over 1,000 businesses.
(Baonghean.vn) - Building Vinh City into a livable, innovative, and creative city, a leading engine of development, with the government listening to and accompanying businesses – this was the spirit of the Meeting with Businesses in the area organized by Vinh City on the morning of March 23.

Vinh City is a Class I urban area, the political, economic, and cultural center of Nghe An province. It covers an area of 105 square kilometers.2With a total population of approximately 460,000 people, Vinh City currently has over 6,000 businesses and more than 22,000 individual business households in operation.
After 5 years of implementing Resolution No. 26/NQ-TW of the Politburo, despite facing many difficulties, the city's socio-economic development has maintained its pace, with an average economic growth rate of 8.67% per year.
Average annual per capita income increased from VND 56.3 million to VND 84.5 million, 2.23 times higher than the provincial average. State budget revenue in the area grew steadily and significantly; in 2018, budget revenue reached VND 2,489 billion.

At the conference, many business associations and enterprises proposed to the Vinh City People's Committee that in the coming time, it should continue to support businesses, further strengthen administrative reform, truly ensure smooth operations from top to bottom, and remove difficulties for businesses operating in the city.
In his remarks at the conference, Comrade Le Hong Vinh - Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - praised the cooperation of businesses and Vinh City over the past period. Although this is the first time Vinh City has organized a Business Meeting Conference, the participation of over 1,000 businesses today demonstrates the city's strong appeal to the business community. This is an opportunity for businesses to exchange ideas, establish linkages in production, and contribute even more to the development of the city in particular and Nghe An province in general.

Concluding the conference, Chairman of the Vinh City People's Committee Tran Ngoc Tu acknowledged the directives from the provincial leadership, recognizing and highly appreciating the contributions of businesses to the growth and development of Vinh City. He also requested businesses to offer suggestions for the city's development, to research the city's advantages, preferential mechanisms and policies, and the list of planned projects, in order to transform development potential and opportunities into reality as soon as possible.
The city will focus on facilitating and accelerating planning, land clearance, infrastructure investment, and ensuring security and order to create the most favorable conditions for businesses to develop and truly support them.

On this occasion, the Vinh City People's Committee awarded Certificates of Commendation to 18 enterprises for their outstanding achievements in production and business, and for fulfilling their obligations to the State.
