Vinh City meets with more than 1,000 businesses for the first time

Vinh City is a class I urban area, the political, economic and cultural center of Nghe An province. With an area of ​​105 km²With a total population of about 460 thousand people, Vinh city currently has over 6,000 enterprises and more than 22,000 individual business households in operation.

After 5 years of implementing Resolution No. 26/NQ-TW of the Politburo, despite many difficulties, the city's socio-economic development has maintained its growth rate, with an average economic growth rate of 8.67% per year.

Average income per capita/year increased from 56.3 million VND to 84.5 million VND, 2.23 times higher than the average of the province. State budget revenue in the area grew quite well and stably; in 2018, budget revenue reached 2,489 billion VND.

In the past 3 years, the city has attracted 63 projects in various fields with a total registered capital of more than 8,063 billion VND. Some projects have been attracted and put into operation by Vinh city such as Technica Vietnam; Em-Tech Vietnam; Austdoor Nghe An;...

At the conference, many opinions from business associations and enterprises proposed to the Vinh City People's Committee to continue accompanying businesses in the coming time, further strengthen administrative reform, truly "open from above, open from below", and remove difficulties for businesses operating in the city.

Speaking at the conference, Comrade Le Hong Vinh - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee praised the support of businesses and Vinh City in the past time. Although this is the first time Vinh City has organized a Meeting with Businesses, the participation of more than 1,000 businesses today shows the great attraction of the city to the business community. This is an opportunity for businesses to exchange and cooperate in production, contributing more to the development of the city in particular and Nghe An in general.

Concluding the conference, Chairman of Vinh City People's Committee Tran Ngoc Tu accepted the instructions from the provincial leaders, acknowledged and highly appreciated the contributions of enterprises to the growth and development of Vinh City. At the same time, he asked enterprises to give advice to the city's development, study the city's advantages, mechanisms, preferential policies and a list of planned projects to turn potential and development opportunities into reality in the shortest time.

The city will focus on creating conditions to accelerate planning, site clearance, investment in infrastructure construction, and ensuring security and order to create the most favorable conditions for production and business enterprises to develop, truly accompanying enterprises.
