Lang Thanh Commune (Yen Thanh) receives Certificate of recognition as a commune meeting new rural standards
(Baonghean.vn) - Attending and speaking at the ceremony to receive the Certificate of recognition of the commune meeting the new rural standards of Lang Thanh commune (Yen Thanh), on the morning of March 24, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Dinh Viet Hong praised the locality for successfully completing the new rural construction program; at the same time, directed the locality to continue to improve the criteria, especially constantly improving the lives of the people.
After 7 years of implementing the National Target Program on New Rural Construction, with the proactive leadership and direction of the Party Committee and the government, effective coordination of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and organizations, the consensus of the people, and the support of superiors, Lang Thanh commune has achieved valuable results and has been recognized by the Provincial People's Committee as a commune meeting the New Rural Standards.

The rural landscape has improved a lot, the economic and social infrastructure has been invested in, the transportation system has been gradually improved; the irrigation system has been invested in to basically meet production needs. Education has changed a lot, schools have reached national standards; cultural facilities from commune to village have been upgraded and newly built. Health care has been invested in, serving well for the initial examination and treatment of diseases for the people; environmental sanitation has been done well.

During 8 years of building the new rural area, Lang Thanh commune mobilized resources of over 308 billion VND. Of which: central budget 2.62 billion VND, accounting for 0.85%; provincial budget 51.02 billion VND, accounting for 16.54%; district budget 7.747 billion VND, accounting for 2.51%; commune budget 16.3676 billion VND, accounting for 5.3%; combined capital 24.265 billion VND, accounting for 7.86%; people's contributed capital 206.33 billion VND, accounting for 66.91%.

In 2018, the average income per capita reached 30,174 million VND/year; the poverty rate was 4.28%. The commune has over 70% of hamlets, villages, and residential clusters meeting the cultural village standards according to the regulations of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
Speaking at the ceremony, comrade Dinh Viet Hong - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee acknowledged and commended the achievements that Lang Thanh commune has achieved in the new rural construction movement.

At the same time, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee emphasized: Building a new rural area only has a starting point but no stopping point; therefore, in the coming years, the locality will continue to improve the criteria, especially paying attention to improving the spiritual and material life of the people.
