LNR warns Ukrainian President 'destroys homes, kills civilians'
Representatives of the Lugansk People's Republic have called on Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky to take into account international law in light of attacks by Ukrainian armed forces on Lugansk.

In light of the increasing number of attacks by Ukrainian armed forces on civilian infrastructure in the LNR, Olga Kobtseva, the representative of the Lugansk People's Republic in the humanitarian subcommittee of the Contact Group, called on the team of Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky to take into account international law.
Earlier, the LNR's Ministry of Emergency Situations announced this week that two people were injured in shelling by Ukrainian forces, and that many houses and power lines in the villages of Frunze and Golubovskoye were damaged. The LNR's specialized ministry is continuously monitoring and noting an increase in shelling by Ukrainian armed forces targeting civilian infrastructure in the area.
Speaking to reporters, Ms. Kobtseva said: “It is within the framework of international humanitarian law that shelling of vital civilian infrastructure, specifically power lines and water supply systems, is strictly prohibited. As for residential buildings, there is simply no need for further comment.”
“Unfortunately, the statements of the Ukrainian leader differ fundamentally from reality since he took office. While Zelensky has consistently emphasized the humanitarian aspect in his statements, I would like to draw attention to the current humanitarian situation: his forces are destroying residential buildings, injuring civilians, and causing damage,” a representative of the LNR stated.
