Speaking at the Congress, Comrade Nguyen Van Thong - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee - acknowledged and highly appreciated the efforts, endeavors, and positive results achieved by the Provincial Bar Association during its 8th term.
The comrade noted that, along with seriously assessing and recognizing the difficulties and challenges, during this term, the Nghe An Bar Association needs to focus on building a stronger team of lawyers. Currently, compared to the province's population of 3.5 million people, there are only 169 lawyers and trainees. This is a low number relative to the population, and the lawyers need to be evenly distributed across the province, not just concentrated in Vinh City and its surrounding areas.
In addition, it is necessary to improve the quality of litigation at trials, comply with regulations on the practice of law, the statutes of the Vietnam Bar Association, and at the same time build increasingly specialized legal practice organizations in each field...
On this occasion, the Provincial People's Committee presented a banner bearing the inscription "Democracy, Discipline, Conscience, Responsibility," and the Vietnam Bar Association also awarded a Certificate of Merit to the Nghe An Provincial Bar Association.
