When an outbreak occurs in a locality, the Livestock and Veterinary Station immediately implements the culling of pigs; sets up temporary checkpoints equipped with tents, beds, tables, chairs, electricity, etc., to serve the checkpoint personnel 24/7; and strictly controls those engaged in pig slaughtering in the commune. In particular, they hire a local team to specialize in spraying chemicals under the supervision of the district veterinary officer and the commune government...
According to data from the District Livestock and Veterinary Station, localities affected by the disease have used 150-200 liters of chemicals per commune and 2 tons of lime powder per commune.
Reportedly, the total expenditure of the District People's Committee on the prevention and control of African swine fever in the past period was nearly 232 million VND.
