Nghe An: Over 6,200 new cars registered in the first 6 months of the year.
(Baonghean.vn) - In just half a year, the authorities in Nghe An have processed new registrations for more than 6,200 cars, bringing the total number of cars under their management to 110,300.
According to a report by the Nghe An Provincial Traffic Safety Committee, in the first six months of 2019, authorities received applications and processed new registrations for 6,234 cars, 44,463 motorcycles, and 3,872 electric motorbikes. This brings the total number of vehicles currently under management to 110,300 cars, 1,615,000 motorcycles, and 79,200 electric motorbikes.
(During the same period, the whole country registered 207,122 new cars and 1,631,314 new motorcycles. Compared to the same period in 2018, this represents an increase of 38,065 cars and 112,946 motorcycles. This brings the total number of vehicles registered with the police as of June 14, 2019 to 4,176,933 cars and 61,299,540 motorcycles.)

In the first six months of the year, the Nghe An Road Traffic Police organized 13,348 patrol and control operations with 49,804 officers and soldiers participating. As a result, they issued 42,040 administrative violation reports, temporarily seized 810 cars, 7,924 motorcycles, and 321 electric scooters.
The violators complied with the penalty decisions in 39,302 cases, transferring over 40.8 billion VND to the State Treasury; and revoked driving licenses and professional certificates for a limited period in 4,559 cases. Compared to the same period in 2018, the number of recorded violations increased by 1,664 cases, and the amount of fines collected for the state budget increased by 1.6 billion VND.

The Nghe An Transport Inspectorate also established 6 inspection teams to monitor road and inland waterway transport management, driver training and testing, protection of transport infrastructure, transport vehicles, vehicle load limits, etc., issuing fines to 919 violations and collecting over 2 billion VND for the State Treasury. Compared to the same period in 2018, the number of violations recorded increased by 354, and the amount of fines increased by 330 million VND..
(In the first six months of the year, traffic police nationwide recorded and processed 1,986,954 cases of violations of road, rail, and inland waterway traffic safety regulations. This resulted in fines totaling over 1.274 billion VND. Compared to the same period in 2018, the number of cases processed decreased by 78,003, while the amount of fines increased by 11 billion VND.)
