Nghe An: More than 6,200 new cars registered in the first 6 months of the year
(Baonghean.vn) - In just half a year, Nghe An authorities have completed new registration procedures for more than 6,200 cars, bringing the total number of cars currently managed to 110,300.
According to the report of the Traffic Safety Committee of Nghe An province, in the first 6 months of 2019, the authorities received documents and completed registration procedures for 6,234 new cars, 44,463 motorbikes, 3,872 electric motorbikes. Bringing the total number of vehicles currently managed to 110,300 cars, 1,615,000 motorbikes, 79,200 electric motorbikes.
(During the same period, the whole country registered 207,122 new cars and 1,631,314 motorbikes. Compared to the same period in 2018, there was an increase of 38,065 cars and 112,946 motorbikes. The total number of vehicles registered at the police agency as of June 14, 2019 was 4,176,933 cars and 61,299,540 motorbikes)

In the first 6 months of the year, Nghe An Road Traffic Police organized 13,348 patrols with 49,804 officers and soldiers participating. Thereby, 42,040 administrative violations were recorded, 810 cars, 7,924 motorbikes, and 321 electric motorbikes were temporarily detained.
Violators have complied with the decision to sanction 39,302 cases, transferring more than 40.8 billion VND to the State Treasury; temporarily revoking the right to use driving licenses and certificates of residence in 4,559 cases. Compared to the same period in 2018, the number of recorded cases increased by 1,664 cases, and the state budget fine increased by 1.6 billion VND.

Nghe An Transport Inspectorate has also established 6 inspection teams for road and inland waterway transport management, driver training and testing, protection of traffic works, means of transport, vehicle load..., sanctioning 919 violations, collecting more than 2 billion VND for the State Treasury. (In the first 6 months of the year, the traffic police force nationwide recorded and handled 1,986,954 cases of traffic safety violations on roads, railways and inland waterways. Thereby, fines were imposed for more than 1,274 billion VND. Compared to the same period in 2018, the number of cases handled decreased by 78,003, and the fines increased by 11 billion VND).
