Mr. Hun Sen informed that he had sent the arrest warrant issued by the court for Mr. Rainsy to Laos and Thailand. In 2017, the Cambodian court dissolved the CNRP and banned a series of senior members from participating in politics for 5 years, accusing the party of “plotting to overthrow the government.”
In March, the Phnom Penh court ordered the arrest of Mr. Rainsy and several former CNRP members on charges of conspiracy and incitement.
