Nghe An releases rare 11 kg turtle back into the sea.

(Baonghean.vn) - This morning (September 19), the Quynh Thuan Border Guard Station, in coordination with the local authorities of Son Hai commune, Quynh Luu district, and relevant agencies, released a rare sea turtle back into the sea.

Earlier, at 8 PM on September 18th, Mr. Tran Van Luu, a fisherman from Hamlet 1, Son Hai Commune, Quynh Luu District, while fishing at sea, discovered a sea turtle weighing 11 kg on a sandbank in Son Hai Commune, Quynh Luu District, and reported it to the Quynh Thuan Border Guard Station, Nghe An Border Guard Command.

After receiving the turtle, the Quynh Thuan Border Guard Station coordinated with the local authorities and the fisherman's family to release it back into the wild.

The sea turtle caught by fishermen in Quynh Luu weighed 11kg.
