Nghe An releases rare 11 kg turtle into the sea

(Baonghean.vn) - This morning (September 19), Quynh Thuan Border Guard Station, in coordination with local authorities of Son Hai commune, Quynh Luu district and relevant agencies, released a rare sea turtle back into the sea.

Previously, at 8:00 p.m. on September 18, Mr. Tran Van Luu, a fisherman in Hamlet 1, Son Hai Commune, Quynh Luu District, while exploiting aquatic products at sea, discovered an 11 kg sea turtle on the alluvial ground in Son Hai Commune, Quynh Luu District and reported it to Quynh Thuan Border Guard Station, Nghe An Border Guard.

After receiving the turtle, Quynh Thuan Border Guard Station coordinated with local authorities and fishermen's families to release the sea turtle back into the wild.

The sea turtle caught by Quynh Luu fishermen weighed 11kg.
