South Korea: Third US-North Korea Summit Could Take Place in 2019

South Korean lawmakers have been informed by the National Intelligence Service that North Korea and the United States are likely to resume working-level talks aimed at dismantling Pyongyang's nuclear and missile programs.

Reuters reported that on September 24, South Korean lawmakers were informed by the country's National Intelligence Service that North Korea and the United States are likely to resume working-level talks aimed at eliminating Pyongyang's nuclear and missile programs within the next two to three weeks.

Speaking to reporters, these lawmakers said that a third summit between North Korean leader Kim Jong-un and US President Donald Trump is likely to take place this year, if the above negotiations make progress, but did not provide specific evidence.

According to these lawmakers, Mr. Kim Jong-un is likely to also visit China to hold a fifth meeting with host President Xi Jinping before holding any summit with President Trump./.
