Ms. Tan Hooi Ling - Co-founder, COO of Grab (Singapore)
Appearing on the cover of Forbes alongside Vietnam's only female billionaire is Tan Hooi Ling, co-founder and COO of Grab, a company valued at $14 billion. The 35-year-old businesswoman, who holds an MBA from Harvard University (USA), has, along with co-founder Anthony Tan, generated over $9 billion in revenue since Grab launched in 2012. As Chief Operating Officer, Ms. Tan focuses on increasing market share in the 8 countries and 336 cities where Grab operates.
Akiko Naka - Founder of Wantedly (Japan)
In Japan, a country where only about 7.7% of women hold executive positions, 24-year-old Akiko Naka forged her own path by creating the job search website Wantedly in late 2017. Wantedly successfully listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange in late 2017. Since then, Wantedly's stock price has tripled, raising the company's market capitalization to 29 billion yen.
Ms. Falguni Nayer - Founder & CEO of Nykaa (India)
After nearly 20 years working in investment banking, Nayer started her own business. In 2012, Nayer left Kotak Investment Banking, invested $2 million, and launched the cosmetics retail brand Nykaa. Currently, Nykaa has 46 stores across India and receives 45 million website and app visits per month.
