4 SLNA players are allowed to participate in the U19 International tournament in Thailand
(Baonghean.vn) - The Vietnam U19 team under the leadership of coach Philippe Troussier has left for Thailand to participate in the 2019 Bangkok U19 Football Cup. The list of U19 players this time includes 4 names from SLNA.
In preparation for the 2020 AFC U19 Qualifiers, Vietnam U19, led by coach Philippe Troussier, will travel to Thailand to participate in the 2019 Bangkok U19 International Friendly Tournament. Vietnam U19 will face Korea U19, Uzbekistan U19 and the host team Thailand U19. The tournament will take place from October 10 to October 12 with 4 matches including 2 semi-finals, 1 final and a third-place match.

At the press conference of the GSB U19 Bangkok 2019 tournament, the draw results put U19 Vietnam against the host team while the remaining match will be between U19 Uzbekistan and U19 Korea.
This is the first tournament that new coach Philippe Troussier has participated in after being selected to replace coach Hoang Anh Tuan as head coach of Vietnam U19. Hopefully, the French captain will bring a fresh spirit and playing style to have a tournament as expected before reaching the 2020 AFC U19 Qualifiers.
In the list of 24 players that new coach Philippe Troussier brought with him, there were 4 names from SLNA including goalkeeper Nguyen Van Ba, defender Ho Khac Luong, 2 midfielders Tran Manh Quynh and Dang Quang Tu. Other players who had time to try their hand under coach Hoang Anh Tuan in the U18 Vietnam team such as Tran Quoc Thanh, Vuong Van Huy, Nguyen Xuan Binh could not be included in the final list to go to Thailand under the new coach.
