(Baonghean.vn) - After noticing the unusual absence of many women in the area, the Ky Son District Police launched an investigation and discovered that Luong Van Vuong was the person who specialized in luring and selling women to China.
The Investigation Police Department of Ky Son District has just initiated a criminal case, charged and detained Luong Van Vuong (born in 1986), residing in Tat Thoong village, Chieu Luu commune, Ky Son district, for 3 months for the crime of human trafficking.
According to the investigation results, in early November 2013, Vuong was approached by a woman named NTV (residing in Ky Son district) who offered to find women to take to China to be sold into marriage. Later, Vuong learned about the difficult circumstances of Ms. LTB (born in 1997), who lived in the same village and was frequently subjected to domestic violence by her husband. Seeing this, Vuong approached Ms. B. at her house and enticed her to go to China for a "new life," even "promising" that if she agreed, her family would receive a sum of money. Although hesitant, Ms. B. agreed to the sweet talk and persuasion of Vuong.
Later, Vuong called NTV and was promised 40 million VND. A few days later, NTV picked up Ms. B. and took her to China, where she was sold to a man to be his wife. About two weeks later, the woman came to Vuong's house and gave him 40 million VND. Upon receiving the money, Vuong gave 30 million VND to LTB's sister, and spent the rest.
After verifying and consolidating the documents and evidence, the Special Investigation Team proceeded to arrest Luong Van Vuong for the crime of human trafficking.
At the police station, Luong Van Vuong confessed to all of his crimes. Currently, the Criminal Investigation Department of Ky Son District Police is continuing to pursue the remaining suspects in the case.
