Across the country, more than 12,000 people are still in quarantine to prevent the spread of the disease.
According to the 6:00 AM news bulletin on May 13th from the National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control, as of this morning, Vietnam has gone 27 days without any community transmission cases. Currently, more than 12,000 people are in quarantine for disease prevention.
Total number of cases:
- From 6:00 AM on April 16th to 6:00 AM on May 13th: Vietnam has entered its 27th day of successfully protecting its initial achievement in combating the Covid-19 pandemic, which is having no community transmission cases.
- As of 6:00 AM on May 13th: Vietnam has a total of 148 imported cases of infection who were immediately quarantined.
- From 6 PM on May 12th to 6 AM on May 13th: 0 new cases

Treatment status:According to the report of the Treatment Subcommittee - National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control, as of now, 252 COVID-19 patients in Vietnam have been declared recovered/discharged from hospital, accounting for 88% of the total number of cases under treatment. Currently, 36 patients are still being treated at 6 central and provincial-level medical facilities. The majority of patients are in stable health.
As of the morning of May 13th, among the Covid-19 patients being treated and monitored at 6 medical facilities, 7 patients have tested negative for SARS-CoV-2 once, and 9 patients have tested negative two or more times. Currently, only 20 Covid-19 patients still test positive for SARS-CoV-2.
