The 6:00 a.m. news bulletin on May 13 from the National Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control said that as of this morning, Vietnam has had no community infections for 27 days. Currently, more than 12,000 people are in quarantine to prevent the epidemic.

Total cases:

- From 6:00 a.m. April 16 to 6:00 a.m. May 13: Vietnam has entered the 27th day of protecting the initial results in fighting the Covid-19 epidemic, with no cases of community transmission.

- As of 6:00 a.m. on May 13: Vietnam has a total of 148 imported cases that were immediately quarantined.

- From 6:00 p.m. May 12 to 6:00 a.m. May 13: 0 new cases

Number of people in quarantine:Total number of close contacts and people entering from epidemic areas being monitored for health (quarantined): 12,634, of which:

- Concentrated isolation at hospital: 322

- Centralized quarantine at other facilities: 6,819

- Isolation at home, place of residence: 5,493

Treatment status:According to the report of the Treatment Subcommittee - National Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control, up to now, 252 Covid-19 patients in our country have been announced to be cured/discharged from hospital, accounting for 88% of the total number of cases being treated. Currently, 36 patients are being treated at 6 central and provincial medical facilities. Most of the patients are in stable health.

As of the morning of May 13, among the Covid-19 patients being treated and monitored at 6 medical facilities, there are currently 7 patients who have tested negative for SARS-CoV-2 virus once and 9 patients who have tested negative for SARS-CoV-2 virus twice or more. Currently, there are only 20 Covid-19 patients with positive test results for SARS-CoV-2.
