Saved a woman who ate poison ivy and committed suicide due to family conflicts
(Baonghean.vn) - A woman who ate poison ivy to commit suicide was promptly saved by the Military Medical Service of Tri Le Border Guard Station (Nghe An Province Border Guard) in coordination with local medical staff.
On the evening of June 2, Ms. Ly Y M. (born in 1995), residing in Huoi Moi village, Tri Le commune (Que Phong), due to family conflicts, ate poison leaves and committed suicide.
The victim was taken by his family to Tri Le Commune Health Station in a state of severe poisoning, with his whole body turning purple, having difficulty breathing, and a weak pulse, his life in danger.

Doctors and nurses from the Military and Civilian Medical Clinic, Tri Le Border Guard Station and the Commune Health Station promptly performed life-saving measures for the victim. After nearly 3 hours of intensive first aid, the patient's cyanosis was gone, his breathing was less difficult, and he was able to talk. Currently, the patient's health is recovering and progressing well.
It is known that since the beginning of 2020, the unit's medical force has coordinated with local doctors and nurses to save the lives of 7 victims who committed suicide by eating poison ivy leaves using folk remedies./.
