Two growth options for Nghe An tourism
(Baonghean.vn) - Based on the plan and general growth scenario of 2020 and estimated results achieved in the first 6 months of the year, the Department of Tourism has just projected the growth scenario for the last 6 months of 2020.
According to the scenario, there are 2 options:High OptionThere were a total of 1,906,000 guests (of which 2,510 were international guests); tourism service revenue reached 1,788 billion VND.Low OptionStrive to achieve a total of 614,000 guests (of which 1,002 are international guests); tourism service revenue reaches 309 billion VND.
Previously, when the Covid-19 pandemic was complicated, many travel businesses had no revenue due to lack of customers, some even had to stop operating. Tourist attractions in the area were deserted, the number of customers and revenue of accommodation businesses decreased sharply by 40-70%.

It is estimated that in the first 6 months of 2020, the whole province welcomed nearly 1.2 million overnight guests (equal to 46% compared to the same period in 2019), reaching the plan according to the adjusted growth scenario. Of which, there were 16,970 international visitors (equal to 22% compared to the same period in 2019). Tourism service revenue is estimated at 1,119 billion VND (equal to 45% compared to the same period in 2019).

In the tourism sector, businesses served 14,500 visitors (equal to 36% compared to the same period in 2019); including 2,930 international visitors (equal to 23.4% compared to the same period in 2019). Tourism revenue is estimated at 30.18 billion VND (equal to 24% compared to the same period in 2019).
