Nghe An: Rice paper production boiler explodes, sister dies, younger brother seriously injured

(Baonghean.vn) - Two sisters were removing rice paper from the conveyor belt when suddenly, the boiler exploded like a bomb, killing the older sister and seriously injuring her younger brother.

At around 9:00 a.m. on July 14, a boiler explosion occurred at the rice paper making village in Block 7, Do Luong Town.

The explosion occurred at the kiosk of Ms. Vo Thi Hien. At the time of the explosion, two sisters were removing rice paper from the conveyor belt. The extremely strong pressure of the exploding gas cylinder killed the older sister Dinh Thi Thao (21 years old) and seriously injured her younger brother Dinh Cao Nguyen (18 years old).

At the scene, the exploding gas cylinder caused the corrugated iron roof to warp and deform. Equipment and utensils in the kiosk flew everywhere. The brick wall separating the two kiosks collapsed. The terrifying explosion broke a concrete water pipe.

The heavy iron cylinder flew out. The glass windows of some surrounding houses were broken by the force of the explosion.

Immediately after the explosion, Do Luong district police were present at the scene, cordoned off the scene and continued to investigate the cause of the explosion.
