Eleven more Covid-19 cases reported, 8 of them in Da Nang.

According to the 6 PM news bulletin on August 16th from the National Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control, 11 new cases of Covid-19 have been recorded, including 8 in Da Nang, 1 in Hanoi, and 2 cases who were immediately quarantined after entering the country. Vietnam currently has 962 patients.

CASE 952 (BN952): Male, 57 years old, Cam Le District, Da Nang.

CASE 953 (BN953): Female, 56 years old, Cam Le District, Da Nang.


CASE 954 (BN954): Female, 2 months old, Cam Le, Da Nang. BN952-954 live in the same house and had contact with BN897.
CASE 955 (BN955): Female, 31 years old, Cam Le, Da Nang, had contact with BN897.

CASE 956 (BN956): Female, 40 years old, Son Tra, Da Nang, contact with BN680.

CASE 957 (BN957): Female, 67 years old, Lien Chieu District, Da Nang. Patient being treated at Da Nang Hospital.

CASE 958 (BN958): Female, 46 years old, Lien Chieu District, Da Nang. Family member caring for a patient being treated at Da Nang Hospital.

CASE 959 (BN959): Female, 24 years old, from Hoang Hoa, Thanh Hoa, was quarantined immediately after entering the country.

CASE 960 (BN960): Female, 66 years old, from Bac Tu Liem, Hanoi, was quarantined immediately after entering the country.

Patients BN959-960 arrived at Cam Ranh Airport from Japan on August 5, 2020, on flight VJ7387, and were immediately placed in centralized quarantine at the Center for National Defense Knowledge Education - Nha Trang University.

CASE 961 (BN961): Female, 32 years old, healthcare worker at Hoa Vang Field Hospital, Da Nang.

CASE 962 (BN962): Male, 30 years old, Thanh Xuan District, Hanoi. Traveled to Da Nang City from July 20-22, 2020.

On August 3, 2020, the patient developed a fever of 39 degrees Celsius and sought medical attention at Thanh Nhan Hospital. A sample was taken and sent to the Hanoi Center for Disease Control and Prevention for the first test, which returned a negative result.

On August 15, 2020, a second sample was taken, and the test results at Thanh Nhan Hospital and the Hanoi Center for Disease Control and Prevention were positive for SARS-CoV-2.
