11 more Covid-19 cases, 8 in Da Nang
The 6 p.m. news on August 16 from the National Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control reported 11 new cases of Covid-19, including 8 in Da Nang, 1 in Hanoi, and 2 cases quarantined immediately upon entry. Vietnam currently has 962 patients.
CASE 953 (BN953): Female, 56 years old, Cam Le, Da Nang.
CASE 955 (BN955): Female, 31 years old, Cam Le, Da Nang, in contact with BN897.
CASE 956 (BN956): Female, 40 years old, Son Tra, Da Nang, contact, BN680.
CASE 957 (BN957): Female, 67 years old, Lien Chieu, Da Nang, Patient treated at Da Nang Hospital.
CASE 958 (BN958): Female, 46 years old, Lien Chieu, Da Nang, Relative taking care of a patient being treated at Da Nang Hospital.
CASE 959 (BN959): Female, 24 years old, Hoang Hoa, Thanh Hoa, quarantined immediately after entering the country.
CASE 960 (BN960): Female, 66 years old, Bac Tu Liem, Hanoi, quarantined immediately after entering the country.
Patients 959-960 returned from Japan to Cam Ranh airport on August 5, 2020 on flight VJ7387 and were quarantined immediately after entering the country at the National Defense Knowledge Education Center - Nha Trang University.
CASE 961 (BN961): Female, 32 years old, medical staff at Hoa Vang Field Hospital, Da Nang.
CASE 962 (BN962): Male, 30 years old, Thanh Xuan, Hanoi. Went to Da Nang city from July 20-22, 2020.
On August 3, 2020, the patient had a fever of 39 degrees Celsius and went to Thanh Nhan Hospital for examination. Samples were taken and sent to the Hanoi Center for Disease Control for the first test, with negative results.
On August 15, 2020, the second sample was taken. The test results at Thanh Nhan Hospital and Hanoi Center for Disease Control were positive for SARS-CoV-2.
