Early July 2020,Co Ba Forestdiscovered, invited Hoi to work. However, through work, Hoi did not comply but together with Hung continued to cut down the forest. During the period from July 11 to July 15, 2020, Hoi and Hung cut down the forest adjacent to the previously cut down area.

With the documents and evidence collected by the Investigation Police Agency of Quy Chau District, it was determined that the forest area that Hoi and Hung had cut down was 6.14 hectares, of which 1 hectare was burned, 0.27 hectares had 1,125 young acacia trees planted, the volume of wood cut down was 50,798 m3.3, the number of bamboo trees cut down is 93,776 trees; the forest status is HG2 (mixed bamboo and wood forest).

Based on the available evidence, on August 28, 2020, the C.C. Investigation Police AgencyMr. An, Quy Chau districtprosecuted and issued an arrest warrant for Ngan Van Hoi and Duong Danh Hung for the crime of "Forest destruction" under Clause 3, Article 243 of the Penal Code.

Currently, the authorities are focusing on investigating and expanding the case.
