Nghe An issues urgent dispatch to overcome consequences of natural disasters

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of October 31, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - Head of the Disaster Prevention and Search and Rescue Committee issued Official Dispatch No. 41/CD-UBND on urgently overcoming the consequences caused by storm No. 9 and floods.

To remedy the consequencesflood, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - Head of the Provincial Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Search and Rescue (PCTT - TKCN), requested the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - Head of the PCTT - TKCN Steering Committee of districts, cities and towns; Provincial Military Command; Provincial Border Guard Command, Provincial Police; Directors of departments, Heads of provincial-level departments and branches and related units to implement a number of specific tasks.

People are strictly prohibited from collecting firewood and fishing on rivers and streams during floods to avoid human casualties.

Authorities need to arrange food and essential supplies to ensure that people do not suffer from hunger or cold after the flood and can soon stabilize their lives.

Security forces are responsible for ensuring safety, security and order and protecting people's property after floods.

Immediately deploy environmental protection measures, disinfect, sterilize, and ensure domestic water treatment in flooded areas and instruct people on environmental sanitation and disease prevention for humans and livestock;

Ensure traffic safety; mobilize machinery and equipment to handle landslides and congestion; Coordinate with police forces to guide and regulate traffic, ensuring safety and smoothness.

Regularly report the results of overcoming damage caused by rain and floods to the Provincial People's Committee (through the Standing Office of the Provincial Steering Committee for Disaster Prevention and Control and Search and Rescue) for timely handling./.
