The poor student and the valedictorian of Biology
(Baonghean.vn) - With a score of 18.25 points, Dinh Thi Huyen from Nghi Loc II High School was the valedictorian of Biology in the 12th grade provincial excellent student exam. This is the first time a school in a difficult area has achieved this result.
Dinh Thi Huyen was born into a farming family in the mountainous commune of Nghi Cong Nam. The family has 5 siblings. Huyen's father died early, and her mother had to work hard to raise 5 children, so the family's circumstances were very difficult.

Not self-conscious or embarrassed about her circumstances, Dinh Thi Huyen has always been studious and very good at studying since she was a child. For 11 consecutive years, she has been an excellent student, admired by her friends for her simplicity and diligence.
In the recent provincial excellent student exam for grade 12, Dinh Thi Huyen participated in Biology and excelled with 18.25 points - winning the top prize in the province. Talking about her achievement, this small, shy student said that after finishing the exam, she knew she would get such a score but she was quite surprised to be the top prize in Biology. "I think many friends are better than me but maybe I was luckier than them in this exam," Huyen confided.

The female valedictorian shared that the secret to studying Biology well is to master the knowledge in the textbook, find more documents and exam questions to practice and make connections with surrounding objects and phenomena. “In class, I study the theory attentively, and when I go home, I do the exercises. If I don’t understand, I ask the teacher. My Biology teacher is very dedicated and enthusiastic, ready to guide students to find new knowledge and exam types...”, Huyen shared and said that after the provincial excellent student exam, she is studying hard to pass the entrance exam to Hanoi Medical University to realize her dream of becoming a doctor.
Talking about his excellent student, Biology teacher Nguyen Phu Hoa said: Huyen is a student with many qualities. Although her family is in difficult circumstances, she always knows how to overcome difficulties and rise up. She is proactive in her studies. She is diligent in researching and learning, so her academic results are very good. In addition, Huyen is also a very sociable, friendly and enthusiastic student in the school's Youth Union activities. She is willing to help friends when needed.
