On the afternoon of December 7, the Provincial People's Committee held a meeting to review preparations for the 17th session of the Provincial People's Council, term XVII, 2016 - 2021, scheduled to take place in 3 days from December 11-13, 2020. At the 17th session,Provincial People's CouncilIn the 17th term, 2016 - 2021, the Provincial People's Committee was assigned to prepare 24 reports and 25 submissions and draft resolutions.
According to the synthesis from the Provincial People's Committee Office, as of 11:00 a.m. on December 7, only 2/24 reports and 4/25 submissions and draft resolutions had been completed by departments and branches for acceptance and explanation after the review by the Standing Committee and the Provincial People's Council Committees; the remaining were being completed for acceptance and explanation by departments and branches.

At the meeting, besides appreciating the efforts and focus of departments and branches in preparing the meeting content, some opinions also frankly pointed out some shortcomings and limitations.
Specifically, some departments and branches did not respond to voters' opinions and recommendations in a consistent manner. Some departments and branches were slow to report and respond to assigned issues; were not proactive in consulting; and were still confused in implementing the procedures for issuing draft resolutions.

Based on reviewing the contents of reports, submissions, draft resolutions submitted to the session, and conclusions at the meeting, comrade Le Hong Vinh - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested the departments and branches assigned to preside over the drafting of reports, submissions, and draft resolutions to focus on completing the reception and explanation after the review of the Standing Committee and Committees of the Provincial People's Council on December 8 to send to the Provincial People's Council Standing Committee on schedule.
In particular, focusing on reviewing and ensuring the strictness of draft resolutions related to policy mechanisms so that when issued and implemented, they meet practical requirements, comply with legal regulations and promote the overall development of the province.

It is recommended that departments and branches review the Conclusions of the questioning and the recommendations after the supervision of the Provincial People's Council related to their units to prepare carefully, especially the unresolved issues, clarify the causes and specific solutions for the coming time.
