Coach Park Hang-seo laments the V.League's obsession with foreign players.

Speaking to the press on the morning of December 21st, the coaching staff announced that players Viet Anh, Hai Long, Van Toan, and Hai Long will be part of the national team squad. Bui Hoang Viet Anh had some injuries during recent training sessions, and his participation on December 23rd is uncertain. On December 27th, the head coach will decide whether Viet Anh will play for the senior national team or the U22 team. Goalkeeper Van Toan will play for the U22 Vietnam team.

Sharing his thoughts on the team's situation, Coach Park Hang-seo said: "I want to observe the players of both teams; I will be sitting in the stands. I will decide the starting lineup, but when unexpected situations arise on the field, my assistants will handle this on my behalf. It's too early to assess the capabilities of these two teams. It's possible that the U22 Vietnam team can still beat the Vietnam national team."

Regarding the Vietnamese national team's tactics being figured out, I believe that building a well-organized team is not simple, and we should continue to capitalize on our strengths from the past. I've faced many difficulties in finding suitable strikers. About 70-80% of our strikers play in other leagues.V.League"As for foreign players, I've searched high and low for a striker but haven't found one. For midfielders, I've found a few new names."

Meanwhile, captain Que Ngoc Hai shared: “Over the past period, the Vietnamese national team's defense has had many injured players such as Dinh Trong, Duy Manh, and Van Hau. Of course, the understanding with those players will be greater, but in football, injuries and unexpected things happen, and we have to adapt.”

Apart from Bui Tien Dung, the teammates I've played alongside at Viettel Club, all the players called up this time have performed well. The defensive system has been thoroughly trained by the head coach and coaching staff, so it's well-prepared for every training camp. This is also a good time for the new players to integrate with each other.

As for the goalkeepers, based on my observations of the recent training sessions, I see that they are all capable and hardworking. With players currently in good form, the Vietnamese national team has strong competition across all positions. All the players have integrated well, and I hope that in any situation they can perform to the best of their abilities.”
