Nghe An: Highlights on March 14

*SOn March 14, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment and the People's Committee of Nghe An province jointly organized the "Response Ceremony"One billion tree planting program- For a green Vietnam”, at Truong Bon National Historical Site, Do Luong District (Nghe An). Comrade Nguyen Xuan Phuc - Politburo member, Prime Minister attended the ceremony. Also attending were comrades: Vuong Dinh Hue - Politburo member, Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee; Phan Dinh Trac - Politburo member, Head of the Central Internal Affairs Commission; Uong Chu Luu - Vice Chairman of the National Assembly. Also attending this event were leaders of the Ministry of Planning and Investment; Ministry of Transport; Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment; Central Party Office, leaders of Military Region 4 and leaders of Nghe An province.

*CAlso on the morning of March 14, the Prime Minister and leaders of central ministries, branches and leaders of Nghe An and Ha Tinh provinces attended the meeting.Cua Hoi Bridge Opening CeremonyCrossing the Lam River, connecting the two provinces of Nghe An and Ha Tinh. This is a practical project to celebrate the success of the 13th National Congress of the Party and is of great significance, creating momentum for the development of the marine economy, tourism, services, promoting socio-economic development, ensuring regional security and defense; connecting National Highway 8B and National Highway 1 and reducing traffic on National Highway 1; ensuring traffic safety, promoting the effective use of investment capital to build projects, upgrade and expand National Highway 1; connecting regions, promoting the development of the Southern Nghe An and Northern Ha Tinh regions.

*TDuring the working program in Nghe An, on the morning of March 14, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc and his delegation hadworking session with provincial leaderson the socio-economic development situation in 2020 and tasks in 2021. At the meeting, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc highly appreciated and commended the efforts of the provincial leaders, Party committees, authorities, and people of Nghe An on the socio-economic development results in 2020 and especially in the first two months of 2021. Especially the bright spot of solidarity and high unity in the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, left an impression on the Politburo.

The Prime Minister emphasized: “We are ready to listen to apply innovative and creative mechanisms for Nghe An province for the development of President Ho Chi Minh’s homeland. Nghe An also needs to creatively apply the resolution, along with the virtues and mettle of Nghe An people to arouse the desire for development... Therefore, the province builds a fundamental and systematic plan, with strategic breakthroughs, clearing development bottlenecks. In development, we must shift from breadth to depth, with a longer-term vision...”.

*NOn March 14, the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province coordinated with the Liaison Committee of Nghe An fellow countrymen in Hanoi to organize a meeting of Nghe An fellow countrymen in Hanoi on the occasion of the beginning of Spring Tan Suu 2021.

During the meeting, Nghe An AssociationCongratulations to Lieutenant General Nguyen Quoc ThuocHe has just been awarded the title of Hero of the People's Armed Forces by the Party and State; the 70-year Party membership badge, 2 Second-class Independence Medals, 2 Military Exploit Medals (Second-class, Third-class) and many other noble medals, awards and prizes from our State and internationally.

*NNghe An fishermen earned 10 million VND after only 3 hours of fishing in the open sea. Recorded on the morning of March 14, at the beach of Quynh Nghia commune (Quynh Luu), dozens of fishing boats of local fishermen returned to shore after about 3-4 hours of fishing. The record shows that,every boat has a net full of fishSo people mobilized more manpower to support fish removal, in time to sell to traders.

*Tin Yen Thanh district, about 8 km from the district center, aprimeval ironwood forestare well protected in Lang Thanh commune. Local people said that to have this property, many generations of people here have tried to preserve and protect the ironwood forest.
