African swine fever recurs in 11 communes of Dien Chau district
(Baonghean.vn) - In the past 2 months, African swine fever has re-emerged in many communes in Dien Chau district (Nghe An). As of March 19, Dien Chau district had 11 communes testing positive for African swine fever.

African swine feverThere has been a tendency to re-emerge in Nghe An in recent months, with the most complicated developments in Dien Chau district.
According to information from the Dien Chau District Agricultural Service Center, in the past 2 months (2 and 3), African swine fever has been complicated in the district. Although it has occurred in small-scale farming households, the number of communes with the epidemic is increasing.
As of March 19, Dien Chau had 11 communes positive for African swine fever: Minh Chau, Dien Phu, Dien Tho, Dien Loc, Dien Nguyen, Dien Cat, Dien Tan, Dien Dong, Dien Thai, Dien Lam, Dien Loi.
Total number of pigs mustdestroy158 pigs, including 26 sows, total weight over 5 tons of live pigs. The locality with the highest outbreak is Dien Phu commune with 11 households having the outbreak.

Faced with the situation of African swine fever and some other livestock diseases occurring in the district, the People's CommitteeDien Chau districtissued telegrams on disease prevention: African swine fever, avian influenza and lumpy skin disease in cattle.
Dien Chau district has also provided 600 liters of chemicals to localities for disinfection spraying in epidemic areas; localities with epidemics have proactively provided lime powder for people to implement epidemic prevention solutions according to regulations of veterinary agencies.
