(Baonghean.vn) - During the night, a thief sneaked into a cow barn of a household in Nghia Loc commune, Nghia Dan district, cut up the meat and took the two hind legs of a calf.

On the afternoon of April 2, Mr. Ngo Sy Cuong - Chairman of the People's Committee of Nghia Loc Commune, Nghia Dan District, said that the Commune Police Department had received and investigated the murder case.thiefcalves occur in the area.

According to initial information, on the same morning, Mr. Phan Van Chien, resident of Van Loc 2 hamlet, went to visit the cowshed and discovered that the calf had been stolen a few meters away from the barn. At the scene, the calf had been butchered, its hind legs, internal organs, and two front legs removed, and its head was still intact.

“The calf was only 3 months old and was worth over 10 million VND. When the family discovered the incident, they reported it to the village executive committee. That same morning, the commune police also came to work with the family,” said Mr. Chien.

“This is the first time in the commune that a thief has boldly butchered a calf leg from a local resident. The police are currently continuing to investigate and access camera footage from local households to track down the thief,” Mr. Ngo Sy Cuong added.
