Nghe An guides quarantine of people returning from other localities
(Baonghean.vn) - The provincial Covid-19 prevention and control steering committee has issued specific instructions on quarantining cases returning to Nghe An from other localities.
On the afternoon of June 1, the Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control of Nghe An province sent a document to departments, branches and localities regarding additional epidemic prevention measures.
Accordingly, the Covid-19 epidemic is currently very complicated nationwide, especially in Bac Giang, Bac Ninh, Ho Chi Minh City... The number of citizens returning to/passing through epidemic areas nationwide is increasing rapidly. In order to proactively control and prevent the Covid-19 epidemic from entering and spreading widely in the province, the Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control requests the application of a number of additional Covid-19 prevention and control measures as follows.
For those returning from localities implementing social isolation according to Directive 16, they will be quarantined for at least 21 days from the date of leaving the isolation and blockade areas. Tests will be organized at least 3 times according to regulations. After the end of the quarantine period, they are required to quarantine at home for 7 days, and return to take samples for testing on the 7th day.
Regarding testing costs, for cases returning before the date of social distancing and lockdown, the local budget will cover the costs. For cases returning after the date of social distancing and lockdown, citizens are responsible for paying the entire cost.

For those returning from localities and areas implementing social distancing according to Directive 15, they will be quarantined at home or at their place of residence for 14 days from the date of leaving the social distancing area. They must make daily health declarations to local health officials. If there are signs of fever, cough, sore throat, shortness of breath, fatigue, chills, loss of taste, they must immediately go to a medical facility for timely management instructions according to regulations.
For cases returning from localities and regions in provinces and cities across the country with Covid-19 infections in the community but not applying lockdown and social distancing according to Directive 15 or Directive 16, they are required to self-monitor their health for 14 days at home or at their place of residence. They must make daily health declarations to local health officials. If there are signs of fever, cough, sore throat, shortness of breath, fatigue, chills, loss of taste, they must immediately go to a medical facility for timely management instructions according to regulations.
Currently, Nghe An has been free of Covid-19 as one patient spread in the community and four patients returning from abroad have been discharged from the hospital. All more than 100 F1s of community patients have also finished their centralized quarantine period, testing negative many times.
