Because the bridge on the only road in and out of the hamlet has collapsed and is damaged due to the flood of last year.

However, until now, this bridge has not been repaired, causing nearly 200 households, with 735 people of Hong Thinh hamlet to worry that they will no longer have a road in the coming rainy season.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Kieng - Secretary of the Party Cell of Hong Thinh Hamlet, is concerned that because the bridge is at risk of collapsing, the local government has banned cars from crossing the bridge, causing difficulties for the people in the hamlet in the process of building houses and transporting acacia wood for sale. Although it is not yet the rainy season, the cracks on the bridge are getting wider, so if it is not repaired soon, the bridge will collapse completely in the coming rainy season, and the whole hamlet will have no road to travel.
"As a locality with a large area of acacia forest, people's lives depend mainly on forest planting. For many months now, when people sell acacia wood, they have to increase the price to the main road, because cars cannot go over the bridge to enter the village, so it is difficult and costly" - Ms. Nguyen Thi Kieng shared.

Mr. Nguyen Dinh Phong - Chairman of the People's Committee of Thinh Thanh commune said: Immediately after the bridge was damaged,landslidesDue to the impact of the flood in October 2020, the commune has put up signs prohibiting vehicles from passing through to avoid risks for the people, and has reported to the district. However, up to now, the superiors have not yet had a solution to fix or invest in rebuilding the bridge, although the people have repeatedly expressed their opinions.
"This bridge was built decades ago. The bridge surface is small and narrow, not suitable for actual conditions. In addition, two bridge abutments have collapsed, the bridge surface is tilted strongly, and cannot be repaired. It needs to be invested in and rebuilt," said Mr. Nguyen Dinh Phong./.
