On the morning of July 13, the People's Committee of Nghe An province held a meeting to listen to and give opinions on the draft Decision on Scoring criteria and evaluation and classification process of food safety management in Nghe An province.
Comrade Bui Dinh Long – Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee chaired the meeting. Attending were representatives of the Provincial People’s Committee Office, Department of Health, Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, Department of Industry and Trade, Department of Justice.
Recently, state management work onfood safetyIn the province, there are still some shortcomings such as: The state management system is not unified; inter-sectoral coordination between departments and organizations is not regular; the participation of some local authorities, especially at the commune level, is still limited; human resources are not sufficient in quantity and limited in capacity; the food safety steering committee at district and commune levels is not operating effectively, has not participated actively and its activities are still formalistic.

Draft Decision on scoring criteria and process of evaluating and classifying management workfood safetyin Nghe An province, chaired by Nghe An Department of Health in coordination with relevant departments and branches, to assess the effectiveness of implementing food safety activities at district and commune levels, and from there propose appropriate measures, mechanisms and policies to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of food safety management agencies at district and commune levels. The draft consists of 4 Chapters, 11 Articles, 2 Appendices... and has undergone 7 revisions and improvements.
