On the morning of July 13, the People's Committee of Nghe An province held a meeting to listen to and give opinions on the draft Decision on Scoring Criteria and the process of evaluating and classifying food safety management work in Nghe An province.
Comrade Bui Dinh Long - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee chaired the meeting. Attending were representatives of the Provincial People's Committee Office, Department of Health, Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, Department of Industry and Trade, Department of Justice.
Recently, state management work onfood safetyThere are still some shortcomings in the province such as: The state management system is not unified; inter-sectoral coordination between departments and organizations is not regular; the participation of some local authorities, especially at the commune level, is still limited; human resources have not met the quantity and capacity requirements; the Food Safety Steering Committee at the district and commune levels has not operated effectively, has not participated actively and its activities are still formal.
