The Party Central Committee has expelled four former officials from the party.

The Politburo and the Secretariat of the Central Committee have recognized that the Party Committee of the Ministry of Health for the 2021-2026 term (until February 2025) lacked responsibility in leadership and guidance, leading to violations and shortcomings in the Ministry of Health, some party organizations, and party members in the leadership and guidance of building and perfecting laws and organizing the implementation of state management functions regarding food safety.

Many officials and Party members at the Food Safety Department have shown signs of ideological and political degradation, moral decay, and lifestyle deviations; they have violated Party regulations and State laws in performing their assigned duties and responsibilities; and they have engaged in very serious and long-term corruption and negative practices.

GrandfatherNguyen Duc QuyenDuring his tenure as a member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Permanent Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Thanh Hoa province, he violated Party regulations and State laws by signing decisions on land allocation and land lease with illegal land use fees.

GrandfatherLe Duc GiangDuring his tenure as a Provincial Party Committee member and Vice Chairman of the Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee, he violated Party regulations and State laws in performing his assigned duties and responsibilities, and abused his position and authority while carrying out his official duties.

GrandfatherLe Hong SonDuring his tenure as Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training, he violated Party regulations and State laws by illegally interfering with the decisions on investment policies for purchasing foreign language teaching and learning equipment of the People's Committees of districts and counties.

GrandfatherDuke NgoDuring his tenure as a Provincial Party Committee member, Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee, and Chairman of the People's Committee of U Minh Thuong District, Kien Giang Province, he violated Party regulations and State laws by signing documents related to the implementation of the U Minh Thuong District Administrative Center construction investment project in violation of the law.

Messrs. Nguyen Duc Quyen, Le Duc Giang, Le Hong Son, and Ngo Cong Tuoc have shown ideological and political decline, moral decay, and inappropriate lifestyles; violated Party regulations and State laws in performing their assigned duties; violated regulations on what Party members are not allowed to do and the responsibility of setting an example, causing very serious consequences, public outrage, and severely damaging the reputation of the Party organization and the agency/unit where they work.

Based on the content, nature, extent, consequences, and causes of the violations; and based on the Party's regulations on disciplinary action against violating Party organizations and members, the Politburo decided to reprimand the Party Committee of the Ministry of Health for the 2021-2026 term; and the Secretariat decided to expel from the Party the following individuals: Nguyen Duc Quyen, Le Duc Giang, Le Hong Son, and Ngo Cong Tuoc.

The Politburo and the Secretariat of the Central Committee requested that relevant agencies promptly and consistently implement administrative disciplinary measures in conjunction with Party disciplinary measures.
