Director defrauded 61 cars, embezzled more than 3.8 billion VND

Doan Quang Thanh forged authorization documents from the Logistics Department - General Department of Technology, Ministry of National Defense, to defraud the sale of 61 cars, appropriating 3,814 billion VND.

On July 26, Thanh, from Hung Yen, was prosecuted and temporarily detained by Cau Giay District Police to investigate the crime of Fraud.appropriation of property.
According to the investigation, Thanh is the General Director of Ngu Hanh Xanh Company, so through social and business relationships, he knew Mr. Hoang in Vinh Phuc. Thanh introduced himself as his company, authorized by the Logistics Department - General Department of Technology of the Ministry of National Defense to trade in 61 liquidated cars.

After reaching an agreement, in May 2020, Thanh's company signed a contract with Mr. Hoang to buy and sell the above cars. After receiving the money, Thanh failed to deliver the cars to Hoang and used the money for personal expenses. Realizing that he had been scammed, the victim went to the police to report the matter.

The police determined that the authorization papers that Thanh showed Mr. Hoang were all forged by the Logistics Department. Thanh had appropriated 3,814 billion VND from the victim.
